CHERYL GILLEY RICE

A native of Bluefield, West Virginia, Cheryl Rice graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in English Literature in 1988 and received her law degree from George Mason University’s School of Law in 1991. She was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1991, the District of Columbia bar in 1998 and the Tennessee bar in 2001 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee as well as the Sixth Circuit United States Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

She focuses her practice primarily in the area of civil litigation with emphasis in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury, Employment Law and Bankruptcy. She is a member of the Knoxville, Tennessee, Virginia and District of Columbia Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations. Her publications include a feature article for Trial, the magazine of ATLA.
