Herbert H. Slatery III

Herbert Slatery, III is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, and was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1980. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia (B.A., 1974); and then attended the University of Tennessee (J.D., 1980). He was a member of the Tennessee Law Review from 1977-1980 and served as Articles Editor in 1980. He authored "Tennessee's New Nonprofit Corporation Law," 1987. He is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association (Member: Corporate Law Revision Committee, 1985-1986; Chairman, Nonprofit Corporate Law Revision Committee, 1987; Member, Special Committee on Opinion Standards, 1992-1995) and the American Bar Association as well as the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

He concentrates his practice in the areas of: Banking, Corporate, Commercial Law, Securities, Bankruptcy, and Real Estate.
