ROCKFORDE D. KING

Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, Rockforde D. “Rocky” King attended the University of Tennessee, where he was awarded a B.A. in 1981 and a J.D. in 1985. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1985 and is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, the Defense Research and Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and the American Bar Association. He was also a founding member of the Coalition of Food Industry Defense Counsel (COFIC).

He became board certified in civil trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, an American Bar Association accredited organization, in December, 1995, and by the Tennessee commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization in February, 1996.

He practices primarily in the area of civil litigation, where his practice extends to products liability, tort and workers’ compensation law. In the products liability area, where most of his present practice is concentrated, he has particular experience in the food manufacturing and auto distribution industries.
